Press Guidelines & Policies

DralaCon will bring the best of the tabletop gaming worlds together at the Grand Wayne Convention Center, June 12-14, 2020. DralaCon is the place where enthusiasts come together with some of the industry's best and brightest talents to share in a celebration of tabletop gaming!


Points of Note

  1. Recognized print, broadcast, and online media outlets qualify for two press passes (with limited exceptions for size and scope of press outlet)

  2. Approved blogs, podcasts, video journalists, and genre-specific organizations qualify for one press pass only (with exceptions for size and scope of outlet)

  3. Prearranged interviews with DralaCon special guests will be granted on a limited basis. Interviews can be prearranged through The Nerd Asylum LLC media representative and are not confirmed until written notice is received.

  4. No photographs, video footage, or interviews can be prearranged with celebrity guests and/or spokespersons without the prior approval of The Nerd Asylum LLC.

  5. DralaCon reserves the right to deny an applicant a press badge if sufficient credentials are not submitted, based on previous coverage experience with the show, or at DralaCon's discretion.

  6. DralaCon media credentials will not be granted to anyone whose principal purpose for attending DralaCon is judged to be for reasons other than covering the show as working news media.

  7. Media accreditation is reserved for working members of the media only. This includes editors, reporters, producers, videographers, and still photographers.

  8. We reserve the right to modify this policy without public notice and to revoke previously issued DralaCon accreditation/registration at any time.


Media Coverage Regulations

  1. The Nerd Asylum LLC allows media equipment in exhibit and program areas during posted show hours only, unless special arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.

  2. No media organization may take photographs or record images of, or otherwise use an exhibitor's booth without the knowledge and consent of the exhibitor.

  3. Camera crews must not block the flow of traffic on the exhibition floor for any extended period of time.

  4. All photographs or footage taken at DralaCon may be used for editorial purposes only. Any other use requires the written approval of The Nerd Asylum LLC.

  5. No video footage may be taken during live programming and entertainment events without the prior approval of The Nerd Asylum LLC media personnel.

  6. Internet reports shall not purport to be exclusive or official coverage of DralaCon, though exhibitors retain the right to arrange exclusive media coverage with outlets of their choosing after approval by The Nerd Asylum LLC media representative.

  7. Reports cannot include proprietary material owned by The Nerd Asylum LLC inclusive of, but not limited to, interview transcripts, audio transmissions, video transmissions, photographs, or any other copyright or trademark owned by The Nerd Asylum LLC without the prior written authorization of The Nerd Asylum LLC.


Radio/TV/Web General Regulations

  1. Live broadcasts must be arranged and preapproved by The Nerd Asylum LLC.

  2. On-site signage is permitted only for exhibiting media, or for media with sponsorship agreements with The Nerd Asylum LLC.
